Welcome to The Smart Construction Site

The Smart Construction Site is a testbed project, which is a part of the Swedish government's strategic cooperation programs and coordinated by IQ Samhällsbyggnad. The project, which is a part of the Smart Built Environment initiative in Sweden, is a platform for testing and evaluating innovative applications on construction sites. Some 30 organizations from different parts of the construction and ICT industries participate in the project. NCC, Skanska, Peab, Lindbäcks Bygg, BoKlok, and Cementa will provide construction and manufacturing sites as testbeds. Among the companies that provide different digital solutions are Telia, Atea, HiQ, and Hexagon, to name a few.

The long-term goal is to create a smart digital connected construction site, including smart supply chains, production automation, and digital information flows. By doing this the project aims to increase efficiency, cut down costs, reduce security risks, climate impact, and lead times in several areas by a factor of 20 percent.

"We are also looking forward to attracting new players to the construction industry that can help drive the digital development and create the right conditions for new business models that provide increased profitability for the actors involved in the construction industry". — Martin Rudberg (Project leader).
